Welcome to West Egg, Old Sport...

Get ready, Old Sport, as F. Scott Fitzgerald's quintessential American classic, adapted for the stage by Simon Levy, comes to you in this new local production. At the center of this tragic tale of misspent youth in the Roaring Jazz Age is the mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby, a near recluse with the expensive hobby of throwing lavish parties each weekend at his Long Island mansion. But there is a pain in the heart of the strange Gatsby, specifically the beautiful, very vain, and very married Daisy Buchanan, and he will stop at nothing to win her back.

Considered Fitzgerald's masterpiece, Gatsby has been an enigmatic and attractive piece for dramatists and filmmakers ever since it was published, and it lends itself wonderfully to the stage, as the nuances of each character are explored in luxurious detail and storytelling.
